The orientation programs, which were carried out with the participation of academic and administrative staff, were completed with the Faculty of Preparatory, Humanities and Social Sciences, Communication, Engineering and Natural Sciences, Faculty of Health Sciences, and Vocational School of Health Services.

The orientation programs for the new academic year, which began on September 22 with the Faculties of Medicine and Dentistry, were completed this week with other faculties at the Nermin Tarhan Conference Hall on the Central Campus, the Ibn Sina Auditorium at the Faculty of Health Sciences, and the Emir Nebi Conference Hall on the Çarşı Campus.

Prof. Dr. Nazife Güngör: "Being a good communicator is based on being a good person."

As part of the Communication Faculty Orientation program, Üsküdar University Rector Prof. Dr. Nazife Güngör also gave a speech. Güngör said, "Dear students, welcome, everyone. You are excited, which is wonderful because excitement is the most important source of motivation on the road to success. Starting today, set goals for yourselves and draw up your roadmap in line with these goals. If you want to study communication to become a journalist, advertiser, or producer, you are taking the first step today. First and foremost, being a good communicator is based on being a good person. Because our profession is intertwined with people and society. It is our responsibility to contribute to society and guide it towards the better. To do this, we must read extensively, develop our culture, and stay close to art and science. The more we read, think, and question, the more versatile and visionary individuals we become."

Prof. Dr. Gül Esra Atalay: "You are at one of Turkey's best communication faculties."

As part of the programs where information about all the university's operations and activities was shared, Communication Faculty students also gathered. The opening speech of the orientation program was delivered by Prof. Dr. Gül Esra Atalay, Dean of the Communication Faculty.

Atalay said, "Today is the first day of a four-year journey. During this process, we will work to prepare you for the sector in the best way possible and graduate you as communication professionals. You are truly at one of Turkey's best communication faculties, and being a graduate of Üsküdar University's Communication Faculty will be an identity you will carry with you throughout your life. For this reason, I recommend that you actively participate in classes, events, and all opportunities. Being a university student is not just about attending classes; it also requires being immersed in the city you live in, especially the artistic and cultural opportunities that Istanbul offers. Participate in events, get to know the city, and feed off its cultural richness. Because a communicator is someone who is aware of everything and immersed in culture and art. We have an open-door policy at our faculty. You can always reach out to your advisors, department chairs, and the dean's office."

Prof. Dr. Deniz Ülke Kaynak: "You will be able to create your own synthesis by blending different disciplines."

During the orientation for the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, general information about the faculty was provided. The opening speech of the program was delivered by Prof. Dr. Deniz Ülke Kaynak, Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences.

Kaynak said, "Today, our students among us are taking their first steps into university. This is an exciting start for both them and us. Over the next four years, we will not only impart knowledge to you, but we will also teach you to think, question, and learn. University is a place where you can create your own synthesis by blending the perspectives of academics from different disciplines, not just from a single source. What matters here is your desire to learn. We are merely your guides. University is also a powerful networking space where you will gain new friendships, interests, and experiences. I recommend that you attend your classes regularly and actively participate in club and seminar activities. Following in the footsteps of our successful graduates, I believe that you too will make a difference in your own field. Remember, your advisors and professors will always be there for you throughout this process. I hope you spend these four years productively and efficiently, with mutual respect and affection."
