

Times Higher Education (THE), one of the world's most prestigious higher education rating organizations, announced the results of the 2025 Impact Ranking, which measures the global impact and sustainability contributions of universities.
Üsküdar University achieved a global success by entering the most elite 25 percentile (Q1) among 2,526 universities worldwide, and managed to enter the top 500 worldwide in 9 of the 17 labels it applied for.
The university ranked first in Turkey among foundation universities that were successful in all 17 labels it applied for.
Üsküdar University achieved a historic success in the Times Higher Education (THE) 2025 Impact Ranking, which evaluates social, environmental and economic contributions to the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Üsküdar University ranked in the first quarter among thousands of elite universities participating in the ranking, once again proving its quality in the international arena.
Üsküdar University applied to all 17 Sustainable Development Goals of the UN and was entitled to receive all labels. In 9 out of these 17 labels, it managed to enter the top 500 worldwide.
Üsküdar University, which ranked first in Turkey in the general ranking among the foundation universities that succeeded in obtaining all 17 labels it applied for, also drew attention as the only foundation university to achieve this success for the last two years in a row.
Despite the 350 increase in the number of universities applying compared to the previous year, Üsküdar University has risen 200 places in the overall ranking (Overall Ranking) and succeeded to be in the first quartile (Q1) of 25 percent of the world's most qualified and influential universities. Uskudar University succeeded in receiving 17 different labels and ranked 524th in the ranking of all these labels.
Üsküdar University was listed in the top 50 percent of the world rankings for the 5 labels it applied for Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Ranking in 2023 and in the top 40 percent in 2024. The university carried its rise to the top in 2025.
This success is the result of the university's consistent quality education, research and social impact efforts over the last three years.
Üsküdar University applied to all 17 Sustainable Development Goals of the UN and was awarded all labels. In 9 of these 17 labels, it managed to be among the top 500 universities worldwide. It has once again proved its strength in its thematic field by ranking in the 201-300 band worldwide, especially in the titles of "Health and Quality Life" and "Gender Equality".
In addition, by ranking in the 301-400 band under the headings of "Reducing Inequalities" and "Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions", the university was internationally recognized as an institution that lives and maintains the four core values of pluralism, participation, libertarianism and criticism.
Üsküdar University, which shares the first place in Turkey in the general ranking among the foundation universities that succeeded in obtaining all 17 labels it applied for, also drew attention as the only foundation university to achieve this success for the last two years in a row.
Üsküdar University ranked 1st among foundation universities in Turkey in the "Life in Water" tag, 2nd in the "Health and Quality of Life" tag, and 3rd in the "End Poverty", "End Hunger", "Reducing Inequalities" and "Life on Land" tags, reinforcing its pioneering role in many fields.

Üsküdar University's success in the Q1 segment of this comprehensive evaluation is recognized as a reflection of the university's innovative and holistic education approach that is sensitive to global issues. According to the Overall Score results obtained with the weighted scores of 26 percent of the score for the 3 labels with the highest score of the universities and 22 percent of the 17th label, which is included as a mandatory label in the application, Üsküdar University has succeeded in being in the first quartile (Q1) in the world ranking in this metric.
