Üsküdar İletişim was awarded ILAD accreditation certificate at a ceremony

The accreditation certificates of Üsküdar University Faculty of Communication Radio, Television and Cinema and Public Relations and Publicity departments, which have been accredited by the Communication Research Association (ILAD) for 5 years, were presented to the department heads at a ceremony.

Prof. Dr. Esennur Sirer, Head of the Department of Public Relations and Publicity Assoc. Prof. Dr. Özge Uğurlu and faculty members and research assistants of the departments that received accreditation.

Prof. Dr. Nevzat Tarhan: "We care about quality and accreditation processes..."

Speaking at the ceremony, Üsküdar University Founding Rector Psychiatrist Prof. Dr. Nevzat Tarhan mentioned that Üsküdar University attaches special importance to quality and accreditation processes. Prof. Dr. Tarhan; "An important marathon is over. I would like to learn the experiences and observations that our professors will share with us during this process."

Prof. Dr. Nazife Güngör: "Our professors worked with a very good team"

Delivering the opening speech of the certificate ceremony, Üsküdar University Rector Prof. Dr. Nazife Güngör emphasized that quality-oriented studies are continued in the accreditation process as the Faculty of Communication. Güngör; "I hope we will see our other departments accredited in many years to come. All our professors worked with a very good team."

Prof. Dr. Aysel Aziz: "Both of your departments received accreditation for five years each, this is an important achievement"

Prof. Dr. Aysel Aziz, President of ILAD, underlined that the importance given to ILAD accreditation is very important and that this success has improved them in the process. Aziz; "You have supported and paid attention to the accreditation process we started in 2018 from the beginning, and this has been really motivating for us. Although we are equal, we have also developed as ILAD in these six years. There have also been developments in the faculties and programs that we accredited and applied to us. Both of your departments received accreditation for five years each. This is an extremely important achievement. Because in the intervening time, we have completed the aspects that we had previously done that were open to improvement. Today, this is the happiest I have ever been. I hope this success will continue."

Prof. Dr. Recep Tayfun "I witnessed here that it was carried out with devotion..."

Prof. Dr. Recep Tayfun, President of ILEDAK, underlined that Üsküdar University has carried out a very successful teamwork within the accreditation process and that this success has been achieved with volunteerism. Tayfun; "I witnessed here how the processes were carried out with devotion. Whatever was demanded both academically and administratively was fulfilled in a very reasonable, very practical and satisfactory way. It was an extremely important experience for me. Volunteerism is a very important concept for both making requests to the programs at the university with an accreditation invitation and for the friends who carry out these processes as evaluators. It is a very valuable concept. I say this as a response to the experience we have had in many universities regarding the process. Üsküdar University has a really great potential, especially in fulfilling the demands we cooperate with and applying them to the field."

İLAD Secretary General Füsun Özbilgen: "The journey of quality is a never-ending journey"

ILAD Secretary General Füsun Özbilgen stated that the accreditation journey is a very good process and will continue to develop. Özbilgen; "We are at a stage of the quality journey here. It started with the support of the Dean of Communication. In this quality journey, ILAD received this authorization in 2018 by passing through stages. It has been such a beautiful journey. During this process, we have seen that faculties are rapidly reviewing themselves. Faculties are doing this work because the programs want to improve themselves. We have also improved ourselves and we continue to improve. The journey of quality is a never-ending journey."

Certificates were given to department heads

At the certificate ceremony, ILAD President Prof. Dr. Aysel Aziz presented the accreditation certificate to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Esennur Sirer, Head of the Department of Radio, Television and Cinema, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Özge Uğurlu, Head of the Department of Public Relations and Publicity.

The certificate program ended with a group photo shoot.
