Üsküdar Communication, in a peer review

As part of the Peer Review process conducted by the Quality Directorate at Üsküdar University, a site visit was carried out at the Faculty of Communication. The final report shared at the conclusion of the visit included assessments of the faculty’s strengths as well as areas for improvement.

The Peer Review team at Üsküdar Communication

Led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Azime Karakoç Kumsar from the Department of Nursing, Faculty of Health Sciences, Dr. Burcu Dündar Ertemiz, Program Chair of the Health Information Systems Technician Program at the School of Health Services, and Sena Erdoğan from the Quality Unit served as evaluators on the team, which paid a visit to the Faculty of Communication at Üsküdar University.

The visit began with a faculty presentation. At the first meeting, which was also attended by the department chairs, Prof. Dr. Gül Esra Atalay, Dean of the Faculty of Communication, delivered a presentation providing detailed information about the Faculty of Communication and answered questions from the evaluation team. Following this, Prof. Dr. Süleyman İrvan, Chair of the Faculty of Communication Quality Commission, along with Faculty Dean Prof. Dr. Gül Esra Atalay and Associate Dean Dr. Ceren Saran, answered the evaluation team’s questions regarding quality initiatives, and provided information on the quality-related initiatives currently underway at the faculty. 

The evaluation team later held meetings with faculty members, external stakeholders, and students.

Finally, as part of the facility visits, the computer labs and television studio were toured. 

The closing report was signed

Following the meetings, the evaluation team prepared the closing report. The closing report was read aloud at a meeting attended by Prof. Dr. Gül Esra Atalay, Dean of the Faculty of Communication, and was signed, bringing the visit to a close.
