

The Peer Review Process was conducted at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at Üsküdar University as part of its quality assurance efforts. Carried out with the aim of strengthening the culture of quality and promoting a mindset of continuous improvement, the process was successfully completed at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences.

The peer review process took place at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences on the South Campus. The process was led by was carried out with the contributions of the Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Prof. Dr. Deniz Ülke Kaynak; Associate Deans Dr. Nihan Kalkandeler Özdin and Dr. Zeynep Gümüş Demir; and the faculty’s academic and administrative staff.
The evaluation team included Prof. Dr. Nilgün Tekkeşin, a faculty member in the Department of Medical Biochemistry at the Faculty of Medicine (English); Lecturer Eyser Kılıç, Program Chair of the Biomedical Device Technology Program at the School of Health Services Vocational School (SHMYO), and Özlem Baran, a student representative from the Faculty of Health Sciences.
During the visit, the faculty’s activities related to education and training, research and development, community engagement, and administrative processes were reviewed on-site.
The process was coordinated by Dr. Nihan Kalkandeler Özdin, Assistant Dean and Chair of the Quality Commission.

The peer review process began with an informational presentation by the faculty administration.
Following the general evaluations of the faculty, interviews were conducted with faculty members, Quality Commission members, department chairs, student representatives, alumni, and external stakeholders to gather feedback on quality assurance practices. At the same time, on-site observations of the faculty’s physical facilities were conducted to assess the current state of these areas.

As part of the visit, evaluations were also conducted regarding the operations of units affiliated with the faculty.
With the contributions of the department heads, internal coordination and quality practices were also addressed in a comprehensive manner.
