The Peer Review Process at the Faculty of Health Sciences Has Been Completed

The peer review process conducted within the Faculty of Health Sciences at Üsküdar University has been successfully completed. As part of the review, efforts aimed at promoting, internalizing, and sustainably developing a culture of quality throughout the faculty were discussed. 

The evaluation process, conducted at the Üsküdar University NP Health Campus, was attended by Prof. Dr. Arif Aktuğ Ertekin, Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences; Dr. Nuri Bingöl, Assistant Dean; Assistant Director of the School of Health Services, Lecturer Esad Sadık Demirtaş; Chair of the Quality Commission, Dr. Özlem Oğuz; and Research Assistant Kübra Kayıkçı from the Department of Medical Biochemistry at the Faculty of Medicine. 

The peer review process was conducted comprehensively

The peer review process was chaired by Esad Sadık Demirtaş, Assistant Director of the School of Health Services Vocational College. As part of the process, one-on-one interviews were conducted with faculty members and students selected by the faculty. Additionally, feedback regarding the education and training processes was gathered through interviews with employers and alumni as part of the external stakeholder participation framework.

Physical infrastructure and educational environments were inspected on-site

As part of the program, classrooms and laboratories were visited to examine the faculty’s physical infrastructure, educational environments, and practical training areas on-site. Thanks to the interviews and site visits, the faculty’s current status was evaluated from a holistic perspective.

The quality-focused approach was strengthened

The peer review process was successfully completed as a productive effort that supported the Faculty of Health Sciences’ quality-focused approach, helping to highlight its strengths and identify areas for improvement.
