

The peer review process conducted at the Üsküdar University Faculty of Medicine was successfully completed. Throughout the process, initiatives aimed at strengthening the concept of quality assurance across the faculty, promoting an institutional culture of quality, and ensuring its sustainability were evaluated in detail.

The peer review process, held at the NP Health Campus of Üsküdar University, was attended by Prof. Dr. Haydar Sur, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine at Üsküdar University, Associate Dean Prof. Dr. Mehmet Aydın, Chair of the Faculty of Medicine Quality Commission Assoc. Prof. Dr. Harika Öykü Dinç, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ayça Demir Yıldırım, a faculty member in the Department of Midwifery at the Faculty of Health Sciences. Faculty members, students, and internal and external stakeholders also contributed to the process.

The peer review process was conducted under the chairmanship of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ayça Demir Yıldırım, a faculty member in the Department of Midwifery at the Faculty of Health Sciences.
As part of the study, one-on-one interviews were conducted with faculty members and students selected by the faculty, and evaluations regarding academic processes were carried out.

As part of the program, classrooms and laboratories were visited to observe the physical infrastructure, educational environments, and practical training areas firsthand.
Thanks to the field visits and interviews conducted, the faculty’s current structure underwent a comprehensive evaluation.

The peer review process was completed as a productive process that supported the Faculty of Medicine’s quality-focused approach, helping to highlight strengths and identify areas for improvement.
