Quality Club met with the students of the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry at the Orientation Program.

Within the scope of the 2025-2026 Academic Year orientation program, Quality Club President / Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences, Department of Forensic Sciences student İlayda Usta met with students from the Faculty of Medicine and Faculty of Dentistry.

The event was organized to strengthen the quality culture at our university and raise awareness of this culture among new students.

During the presentation and information sessions held during the orientation program, students were informed about quality assurance in higher education, continuous improvement processes and the importance of accreditation. The activities of the Quality Club were introduced and the importance of students' active participation in these processes was emphasized.

Adopting the quality-oriented approach of our university, the Quality Club aims to increase the impact of student participation in quality processes and to give students a sense of responsibility in this field.

We wish success to our students stepping into the new academic year and we are happy to move forward together on our quality journey.

Prof. Dr. Nevzat Tarhan: "Our aim is to prevent problems in society before they grow"

Üsküdar University continues to strengthen the work of the Social Contribution Coordinatorship, which was established in line with the Council of Higher Education (YÖK) and the Higher Education Quality Board (YÖKAK) in order for universities to actively support social development. The 2nd Consultation Meeting brought together representatives of academia, public and civil society. In this context, it was pointed out that Üsküdar University is the university that produces the most entrepreneurs in Turkey. Üsküdar District Governor Adem Yazıcı, who attended the meeting, emphasized that the issue of social contribution is very important. Psychiatrist Prof. Dr. Nevzat Tarhan, Founding Rector of Üsküdar University, underlined that the family is the last refuge against the onslaught of modernism and that the second biggest danger is addiction. Prof. Tarhan also stated that the aim of the Coordinatorship is to prevent problems in society before they grow by involving students.

Üsküdar strengthens its administrative staff with artificial intelligence trainings

Üsküdar University Personnel Department and Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences Software Engineering Department organized a comprehensive 3-week artificial intelligence training for senior administrative staff within the scope of digital transformation vision. In the trainings organized, the basic concepts of artificial intelligence, application areas in universities and various artificial intelligence tools were discussed. The workshops held within the scope of the training focused on visualization and interpretation.

Üsküdar continues to be a symbol of quality and trust in healthcare

Üsküdar University has once again confirmed its pioneering stance in the field of health. The Medical Biochemistry Laboratory was re-accredited within the scope of ISO 15189:2023 Medical Laboratory Accreditation as a result of the evaluation process carried out by TÜRKAK. With its expert staff and strong infrastructure, Üsküdar University continues to set an example for the sector with its high quality approach in healthcare services.
