

The Nursing Education Programs Evaluation and Accreditation Association (HEPDAK) conducted an accreditation process for the Nursing Department of the Faculty of Health Sciences at Üsküdar University. A remote visit was conducted on November 18, 2025, followed by an on-site visit from November 30 to December 2, 2025.


During the visit, the HEPDAK evaluation team comprehensively assessed the educational and teaching processes of the Nursing licensure program, its academic and administrative activities, as well as the administrative structure and operational processes of Üsküdar University and its physical infrastructure.

On the first day of the visit, the evaluation team met with Üsküdar University Rector Prof. Dr. Nazife Güngör, Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Hikmet Koçak, Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Türker Tekin Ergüzel, and Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences Prof. Dr. Arif Aktuğ Ertekin in the Senate Hall of the central campus.
Later, Nursing Department Chair Prof. Dr. Selma Doğan, the evaluation team, university and faculty administrators, Quality Directorate, and a group of faculty members from the Nursing Department. The presentation covered the structure of Üsküdar University and the Nursing Department from its inception to the present day, its educational and academic activities, the accreditation preparation process, and the work carried out in education and other areas within the framework of HEPDAK standards.
The evaluation team then moved to the health campus, where they held separate meetings with faculty members, students, and representatives of administrative units, and observed classes in the classroom environment. At the same time, they inspected the Nursing Skills Laboratory and other physical areas, visited the hospitals where the training takes place, and met with the institution's administrators, responsible faculty members, and students.

The visit concluded on the final day with the team leader reading the final report.
