Haydi Tut Elimi Association touched thousands of people in need in 2024...

The 2024 Board of Directors meeting of Haydi Tut Elimi Rehabilitation Education and Assistance Association, which has been operating within Üsküdar University since 2010, was held under the chairmanship of Prof. Dr. Nevzat Tarhan, Founding Rector of Üsküdar University and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Haydi Tut Elimi Association. At the meeting, the activities carried out throughout the year and future collaborations were discussed.

The activities carried out with the support of Haydi Tut Elimi Association and Üsküdar University Haydi Tut Elimi Club and Positive Psychology Club were discussed at the meeting.

Prof. Dr. Nevzat Tarhan: "Teamwork is very important in the 21st century"

Prof. Dr. Nevzat Tarhan, Founding Rector of Üsküdar University and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Haydi Tut Elimi Association, underlined that teamwork is very important in the 21st century. Noting that the importance and sanctioning power of NGOs has increased on a global scale, Tarhan said that the work of Haydi Tut Elimi Association is very important in this context.

Social responsibility activities were carried out across Turkey...

Ayşe Banu Güngenci, Secretary General of Haydi Tut Elimi Association, made a presentation about their activities covering 1 year at the meeting organized. Drawing attention to the activities of the association, Güngenci explained the social responsibility projects carried out by Haydi Tut Elimi Association in 2024.

Earthquake regions were not forgotten...

Güngenci stated that Haydi Tut Elimi Association organized more than one children's festival throughout 2024 and provided aid to those in need in earthquake zones, and mentioned that the support of Üsküdar volunteers is very meaningful for them.

In his presentation, Güngenci also drew attention to the social responsibility projects he and his volunteers carried out in Adıyaman, Kastamonu, Hatay and Kocaeli.

Hundreds of earthquake-stricken children were reached...

Volunteers provided aid to the earthquake-stricken regions of Adıyaman, Hatay and Kahramanmaraş as part of social responsibility projects throughout the year. Uskudar students came together with hundreds of children and organized children's festivals and workshops in the schools they visited.

Students came together in the "Small Hands, Big Hopes" project

Within the scope of the social responsibility project "Small Hands, Big Hopes", Uskudar people came together with students at Kastamonu Atabeyli Primary and Secondary School and supported stationery, books, clothes and lunch boxes.

At the same time, the "NGOs at University" project is also being carried out...

NGOs at University project continues under the coordination of Haydi Tut Elimi Association and in partnership with Üsküdar University. The project aims to consolidate the legal basis of CSOs in Turkey's development process, increase their quality, increase their participation in decision-making processes, and support the strengthening of their financial structure and human resources.

Anti-addiction and child abuse awareness raising activities are being carried out...

As Haydi Tut Elimi Club and Haydi Tut Elimi Association, 2 separate presentations titled "Youth Presentation on Combating Addiction and Child Abuse" were organized in cooperation with Üsküdar District Police Department. Young people were brought together as part of the presentations.

Immediately after the earthquake, aid was delivered to those in the region...

Haydi Tut Elimi Association, Üsküdar University Health Culture and Sports Directorate and Üsküdar University volunteer students came together with children in Kahramanmaraş and Hatay after the earthquake. Within the scope of the project, aids were taken to the region and a holiday event was organized with the children.

After discussing possible collaborations at the meeting, the meeting ended with a collective photo shoot.

Why does Haydi Tut Elimi Association exist?

Founded in 2010 with the support of a few volunteers, Haydi Tut Elimi Association works closely with children who have been subjected to neglect, abuse, violence and who have been dragged into crime. The association, which carries out protective mental health, well-being and positive psychological reinforcement activities to protect children and young people between the ages of 0 and 18, operates with the aim of reintegrating them into society, ensuring their transformation into families and supporting them in the process of completing their social rehabilitation.
