Accreditation and Quality Management in Higher Education seminar was held

Üsküdar University Sufi Studies Institute organized a seminar titled "Accreditation and Quality Management in Higher Education". Marmara University Lecturer. Prof. Dr. Ayşe Hande Erol Bingüler was the guest. Erol Bingüler explained the quality assurance processes, the importance of student participation and measurement and evaluation methods. In the event where information about the YÖKAK Student Commission was also given, Üsküdar University's efforts to spread the quality culture were also mentioned.

The seminar held in Üsküdar University South Campus A Block B-1-13 classroom was attended by Üsküdar University Sufi Studies Institute Director Prof. Dr. Elif Erhan, academic and administrative staff of the institute and students.

Student participation is at the forefront in quality assurance system

In the seminar, it was emphasized that student feedback and opinions about courses and lecturers should be collected systematically and used effectively. It was underlined that taking into account student complaints and suggestions is an integral part of quality processes. It was stated that the measurement and evaluation methods used should be valid and reliable.

Calling on the participants to 'Get to know your own university', Lect. Assist. Ayşe Hande Erol Bingüler emphasized the importance of understanding and internalizing quality assurance systems in higher education institutions. He pointed out that sharing the quality assurance studies carried out at Üsküdar University with the public is an important step in terms of transparency and institutional development.

YÖKAK student commission was introduced

The seminar also provided information about the Higher Education Quality Council (YÖKAK) Student Commission. The commission encourages students to actively participate in quality assurance activities and leads projects with student participation at national and international level. At the same time, proposing candidates for student evaluators who will take part in YÖKAK evaluation teams was also stated as part of this process.

Üsküdar University disseminates quality culture

At the end of the seminar, the importance that Üsküdar University attaches to quality was emphasized. It was stated that the seminars and trainings organized within the university contribute to the dissemination of quality culture among students.
