This important achievement, which reflects the university's quality approach and academic infrastructure, was celebrated with a ceremony. In the program, administrators, academics and students came together and shared the importance of the accreditation process and future goals in detail. MÜDEK, the national quality assurance body recognized by the Council of Higher Education (YÖK) in Turkey, evaluates the quality of education of engineering programs according to national and international standards.

The accreditation success was celebrated with a ceremony held at Üsküdar University Central Campus Nermin Tarhan Conference Hall. The program was attended by Rector Advisor and Üsküdar University Quality Director Assist. Prof. Dr. Serdar Karagöz, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences Serdar Karagöz, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences Prof. Dr. Osman Çerezci, Head of the Department of Computer Engineering Prof. Dr. Burhan Pektaş, Head of the Department of Industrial Engineering Prof. Dr. Mehmet Savsar, MÜDEK coordinator Dr. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Orkun Kozanoğlu, Head of MÜDEK Accreditation Team Dr. Aydın Kosova, Industrial Engineering Department representative Eren Gizlier, academicians and students.

Lecturer. Gör. Serdar Karagöz: "This document is an indicator of determined teamwork"

Advisor to the Rector, Üsküdar University Quality Director Assist. Gör. Serdar Karagöz emphasized the accreditation success of Üsküdar University. Karagöz; "We have gathered to celebrate the accreditation success of two departments of our Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences. This is not just a document, but an indicator that reveals the importance our university attaches to quality, its strong academic infrastructure and determined teamwork. As you know, the accreditation process requires determination, patience and cooperation. I would like to thank all our professors, department heads, quality unit and everyone who contributed to this process. As Üsküdar University, we see quality as a long-term journey, not a goal. This important step we have taken today will create a strong foundation for our future accreditation efforts. I believe we will achieve greater success together."

Prof. Dr. Osman Çerezci: "We will improve ourselves, we will take it to the next level"

Delivering the opening speech of the program, Prof. Dr. Osman Çerezci, Dean of Üsküdar University Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences, emphasized the importance of receiving MÜDEK accreditation. Çerezci; "We have gained confidence in ourselves that we can do this job in terms of the good positioning in the infrastructure of our university, that is, the basic information about quality and accreditation. We have brought this process to a very good point with our industrial engineering professors. Accreditation is a continuous renewal process in our university and departments. I think we will continue this renewal process in a good way. We have made a really good start. We are very happy. It is a great gain for us to have received MÜDEK accreditation and the fact that it is given for 2 years. We will improve ourselves, we will improve ourselves, we will not be passive. It is a process of constantly climbing upwards, transferring quality to the outside world, and keeping up with the changes in accreditation. We will definitely achieve the best success as Üsküdar University Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences by working together. We are also very happy to convey the good news and the certificate we received regarding accreditation. It is also a passport that will bring you to the forefront in your job or master's and doctorate applications abroad. I am happy to provide you with such an opportunity."

Prof. Dr. Burhan Pektaş: "Our aim is to make this system permanent"

Prof. Dr. Burhan Pektaş, Head of the Department of Computer Engineering at MDBF, emphasized that he is happy and proud. Pektaş; "As the Head of the Department of Computer Engineering, I am really happy and proud. We are very happy that we have reached a happy end in this long process. Throughout the process, we made great efforts as a department. Our professors made a great effort. This process has been very instructive for us. We have learned very well how MÜDEK criteria should be and how they should be prepared. Our next goal is to make this system permanent. We received accreditation for two years and we want to extend this process to five years with the interim report we will submit next July."

Prof. Dr. Mehmet Savsar: "We will use this success to bring our university to a higher quality education"

Prof. Dr. Mehmet Savsar, Head of the Department of Industrial Engineering at MDBF, expressed his happiness for the accreditation success. Prof. Savsar said; "We have achieved this success as Industrial Engineering and Computer Engineering departments by working very hard. MÜDEK is a tool for us to measure and improve quality. Since education is in the service sector, it is difficult to measure quality because the inputs are not homogeneous, the process is complex and the results are not clear. However, we try to improve quality by using every method. The 2-year quality accreditation given to us is a start. We will use this success to bring our university to a higher quality education."

Prof. Dr. Lecturer. Prof. Dr. Orkun Kozanoğlu: "We will carry out a process focused on development and improvement"

MÜDEK Coordinator, Department of Industrial Engineering Dr. Assoc. Prof. Orkun Kozanoğlu emphasized that MÜDEK offers opportunities for improvement. Kozanoğlu; "First of all, our department within our faculty has achieved a very important success, but our work does not end here. From now on, we will ensure that our other four departments are also accredited through MÜDEK. Disciplined work, dedication and difficulties await us, but I believe that we will achieve this with sincere effort and strong communication. All our departments and professors should not see this process as a burden. MÜDEK offers us an opportunity to show what we do well and what we can improve. From now on, we will carry out a process focused on development and improvement. As the faculty MÜDEK coordinator, I will be with all our departments."

Prof. Dr. Aydın Kosova: "Wisdom is being aware of what you do not know and pursuing knowledge"

Dr. Aydın Kosova, Head of MÜDEK Accreditation Team, defined quality as a continuous journey. Kosova; "We live in a digitalized information age. The knowledge produced by human beings in the last twenty years is as much as the knowledge produced twenty years ago. In 2010, the knowledge produced in ten years was equal to the knowledge produced ten years ago. Now, the knowledge produced in two years is equal to four thousand years of human history. Wisdom is being aware of what one does not know and pursuing knowledge. Learning individuals are in pursuit of truth and right. Fellow students need to be learning individuals and adopt a learning organization culture. Üsküdar University is one of the two universities in Europe on the way to becoming a brain base. This journey is very meaningful. May your science journey continue. I wish you success."

Eren Gizlier "MÜDEK accreditation is a strong reference"

Industrial Engineering Department Representative Eren Gizlier spoke at the program. Gizlier; "Today, I am very honored and happy to share with you the pride and joy of MÜDEK accreditation that our department has received. This success is not just a document, it means quality and trust, continuity and development. MÜDEK is an independent and reputable organization that certifies the compliance of engineering education with national and international quality standards. This accreditation is also an indication that our department is recognized by the international electrical community. MÜDEK accreditation is a strong reference for the business world and graduate school applications after graduation. This success is not only the fulfillment of an academic criterion, but also the realization of a promise to our graduates and students. Let us not forget that MÜDEK is not an end, but a beginning."

The program ended with the presentation of plaques and a group photo session.
