Üsküdar strengthens its administrative staff with artificial intelligence trainings

Üsküdar University Personnel Department and Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences Software Engineering Department organized a comprehensive 3-week artificial intelligence training for senior administrative staff within the scope of digital transformation vision. In the trainings organized, the basic concepts of artificial intelligence, application areas in universities and various artificial intelligence tools were discussed. The workshops held within the scope of the training focused on visualization and interpretation.

Üsküdar's artificial intelligence vision was highlighted

On the first day of the 3-week training program held in the Kuleli Hall of the Central Campus, Furkan Tarhan, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Üsküdar University, discussed "Corporate Big Data Management and Artificial Intelligence Vision of Üsküdar University". Tarhan emphasized the necessity of artificial intelligence technology in education and health in this period.

Prof. Dr. Türker Tekin Ergüzel: "We aim to save you time"

Üsküdar University Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Türker Tekin Ergüzel, who shared important information about artificial intelligence technology and algorithms, gave comprehensive information about what artificial intelligence is, why it is important and basic concepts under the title "Introduction to Artificial Intelligence".
In his speech, Prof. Dr. Ergüzel said; "Actually, here we aim to process and use the data you have and save you time. In addition, I think it will enable you to plan time management and do business efficiently."

Prof. Dr. Ergüzel also gave information about the NP-Model application and TMU treatment, for which Üsküdar University and NPISTANBUL Hospital have applied for an international patent.

Usage areas of artificial intelligence in universities were discussed

In the second part of the training, Software Engineering Dr. Lect. Prof. Mehmet Kaan İldiz and Üsküdar University Digital Technologies and Software Department Head Hüseyin Hakan Özdemir and Information Technologies Department Head Murat Gülşen explained the usage areas of artificial intelligence in universities. Presentations supported by corporate data management, data strategies and sample applications at the university were reinforced by needs analysis with senior management.

Emphasis was placed on visualization and interpretation

One of the important parts of the 3-week training, which continued over 3 weeks and two separate groups, was the applied workshops. In the workshops where text, visual, video and productivity-based artificial intelligence tools were introduced, the participants had the opportunity to experience current techniques such as ChatGPT and prompt engineering. Particular emphasis was placed on visualization and interpretation in vehicle-based studies.

In the second week of the training, topics such as reporting, data visualization and data analysis were focused on. Prof. Dr. Lecturer. Prof. Dr. Mehmet Kaan İldiz, the ways of obtaining meaningful results from data were supported with practical examples. The training process, which was reinforced with workshops, ended with a certificate ceremony.

The program, which was completed with the active participation of the participants, aimed to increase the technological competencies of the administrative staff in the digital transformation journey of the university. Üsküdar University aims to both increase institutional efficiency and integrate the digital equipment required by the age into the institutional structure with such trainings.
