The application that brings knowledge together with society is used for the first time in Üsküdar

Üsküdar University was the first university in Turkey to implement PlumX and Altmetrics, which are used to determine how much interaction academic articles published on the internet receive and how many people they reach in the environments where they are published, especially social media. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Türker Tekin Ergüzel said that all articles in journals published by Üsküdar University have been included in the PlumX and Altmetrics system for about three months.

How much do academic articles reach the society?

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Türker Tekin Ergüzel stated that PlumX and Altmetrics is an indicator of appreciation of academic articles published on the internet, prepared by considering interaction criteria such as the rate of mention in the news or the number of social media posts about them. Ergüzel pointed out that the system enables academic data to be made sense of and analyzed through comparison.
